3rd annual family reunion… Once again – we had a wonderful time! Memories made, calories consumed, and not enough sleep – and we can’t wait to do it again! So great to be able to get everyone under one roof – thank you for the beautiful space!

Beautiful, cozy ~ so quaint! Very welcoming and clean. We appreciate all the efforts to make everything so perfect. All the small details – the coffee bar, the décor, toys for the kids – we noticed it and loved it all. Thanks for everything! We really love it here from the 80 year olds to the 3 month old. Big discussions on life, love, and more. We will all be back.

This was our second year we did Grandma/Grandpa camp at the Olive Branch. All of our 5 children and 7 grandchildren attended. 4 of the grandchildren caught fish. When one of the Grandchildren was asked “what was your favorite part of the weekend?” He replied, “Eating fresh fish.” Many comments were made about how good it was getting together in this large private setting. We enjoyed everything.

We had our family reunion here and had such a wonderful time. The home is full of character and surprises. The views of the lake were amazing and we enjoyed our time outside. The kids loved playing with the toys. We couldn’t ask for a better weekend. Thank you for all you did to accommodate us!

The location was wonderful for our family reunion. There was always something new to be discovered in the rooms, the scenery was beautiful, and the area for the campfire was well thought out. The atmosphere was serene and beautiful.

What a wonderful place! It worked great for all of our activities – the family reunion, family pictures, outdoor meals, and all the outdoor games. It turned out to be so much more than we expected. We had a total of 14 adults, 2 kids, and 3 babies here. It worked perfectly! 39 more family members came for a meal, family pictures and fun! Great memories.

Everyday was a perfect day! This was our first family reunion. It was a make or break event and because of the lovely accommodations it was definitely a “MAKE” experience. 17 young people met with God and God met us here this week. What a wonderful spot to leave behind distractions, clear our eyes, and open our ears and hearts. Many memories were made, and every inch of this place was explored. The floating dock got a workout, and the home was so cozy, particularly during rainstorms. Everything we needed and much more was available.

Thank you for allowing us to quiet ourselves in your beautiful chapel as we feel the presence of God who is with us during our grieving process. We are taking with us God’s strength, mercy and love as we continue our journey.

We came to the Olive Branch Retreat to do just that – to retreat. Our son died 9-24-09 from H1N1 and myocarditis (enlargement of the heart). A very unexpected and tragic loss to us. If it were not for our unwavering faith in Christ, I don’t know how we would survive this. The Olive Branch has allowed us to regroup, and reshape our broken family. It has been hard to keep going at times; however, tears, laughter and love have allowed us to stay strong. Leaving the Olive Branch with new memories has enlightened us. Thank you.

The first we came to grieve our dear 6-year-old Nathan, this time to remember him and his adventurous spirit. I love this place!

What an awesome wonderful place for an “Arts Group” retreat. There were 12 of us this year, and may be back next year with a few more. Lots of room for us to set up our painting spot and paint all day into the evening. This was such an inspirational place to be creative.

The Wiken Family was back! We made our first visit here in the summer of '15. Our return trip was wonderful. We loved the new paddleboat and pontoon. The kids spent many hours swimming, canoeing, floating, fishing, and other non-electronic things. We are very glad there is no Wi-Fi here. Keeps everybody unplugged. Thanks for the lovely space that works great for our extended family gathering.

I’m writing to let you know what a great week we had at Olive Branch Retreat. It was very accommodating for our group. The decor was so fun, cozy and each room gave you a sense of calmness and “home.” We loved the room both inside and out for our granddaughter to roam, explore, and be in nature. Fire pit was a huge plus for our adult boys as was the barn. I enjoyed escaping to the gazebo with a granddaughter in tow to rock. 😊. We also escaped with the canoe for a couple hours... so relaxing!
